What is the Aviva Stadium Walk

The Aviva Stadium Walk is a walkway of personalised engraved stones that will form a integral feature of the Aviva Stadium

Why is it being created?

To provide supporters with the opportunity to have a permanent place in the history of Lansdowne Road by creating a lasting tribute to all the players and supporters, past and present, that have made Rugby the sport we love and revere. The funds raised from the walkway will help pay for Aviva Stadium.

Who can buy?

Anyone. Any Rugby or sports fan; any member of the local community, nationally or abroad. The Aviva Stadium Walk is open to all people of all ages.

What can I buy?

You can choose from a range of superb Bethel White granite stones:

A single stone has up to 2 lines of 15 characters per line (spaces & punctuation count as characters) - 200mm x 100mm, or,

A double stone that has up to 4 lines of 15 characters per line (spaces & punctuation count as characters) - 200mm x 200mm

For the ultimate purchase you can have an Ireland Rugby Stone which is made of Bethel White granite, painted with the IRFU logo in green and up to 2 lines of 15 characters per line (spaces & punctuation count as characters). 300mm x 300mm

A replica of the Stone you purchase: an exact copy of the Stone which will be laid in the Aviva Stadium Walk (only available for despatch to addresses in the Island of Ireland at the moment)

What are Replica Stones?
A replica is a personal copy of your Aviva Stadium Walk stone for your own home or to give as a personal gift. These stones are exact copies of the original stone laid in the Aviva Stadium Walk.
You can use your replica in many ways:

Build it into your house
Add it as a garden feature
Put it on the mantle piece
Build it into your drive
Use it as a paperweight
Use it as a door stop
Build it into your patio

Replicas can only be despatched to addresses in the Island of Ireland and can only be made to the address given on the original purchase order.

Are the letters painted on top?

No, the letters are actually engraved and hand-painted. The paint sits just below the surface so that it is not subject to wear.

What can I have engraved?

Any message or dedication you wish (as long as it is polite, IRFU reserves the right to vet any messages). Spaces & punctuation are included in the allowed number of characters per line.

Can I change my message after I have placed my order?

You will be sent a letter with a Certificate to check your inscription. If it is incorrect there will be a return address and you will be reissued with another Certificate. Please notify us within 10 days of receipt of your certificate. Please note that only one set of corrections is allowed.

How long will they last?

The engraving depth can be expected to last for a minimum of 10 years. The site owners reserve the right to manage pavers and stones, as detailed in the Terms & Conditions, and are responsible for all maintenance.

When are they being laid?.

The Aviva Stadium Walk Walkway forms part of the new Stadium development, and will be laid as part of a set building schedule. Lay dates for the phases will be advised in due course.

Please note that Replicas are only available for posting to addresses within Island of Ireland (or later the UK).

How many can I order?

As many as you like online. If using a paper application form please photocopy and attach all additional orders.

How do I pay?

Online: With credit/debit card - VISA, MASTERCARD, DELTA, MAESTRO, SWITCH or AMERICAN EXPRESS

By post: With a cheque or postal order made payable to "AVIVA STADIUM WALK".

Can I choose my location?

No, they will be laid on a first come first laid basis as the project progresses. Each item will be laid in the next available spot.

Can I buy as a gift?

Yes, you can buy for someone else. The letter confirming your purchase and the certificate will come to you - the purchaser, to check the inscription we have is correct before we do the engraving. You can then give the certificate showing the inscription as a gift. The certificate does not contain the purchaser's name.

What is on the certificate?

The certificate includes the inscription and a unique reference number. In due course you will use this number to help locate your inscription. The certificate does not include the purchaser's name.
